Want to know what your child has been learning week after week? Tim Hansen manages to explain the complex system of musical notation in an entertaining, easy-to-understand five minute animated video, "How to Read Music".  Wish this was around when I was learning music!

I also highly recommend this video as a refresher for students who have already covered these topics.    They just might pick up some new insights.

I’d be very interested to hear from non-musicians.  Did this video give you a basic grasp of reading music?  There is a lot of information, so I suggest pausing and re-watching if you want to truly understand.
